The Gregorian Youth Association of St. Gregorios Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Hosa Road, stands as a vibrant and devoted arm of the parish, dedicated to fostering faith, fellowship, and service among the younger generation. Since its formation, the association has remained deeply committed to nurturing spiritual growth, leadership, and unity within the parish community. Guided by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the intercession of St. Gregorios of Parumala, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, our youth continue to walk in faith, serving both the Church and society with dedication, compassion, and purpose.

With gratitude, we acknowledge the spiritual guidance and encouragement of our Vicar, Rev. Fr. Shibu George Pulayath, and Assistant Vicar, Rev. Fr. Blessin Baby, whose unwavering support strengthens our journey in faith and fellowship. We also extend heartfelt appreciation to all our members and well-wishers, whose enthusiasm, commitment, and teamwork make every initiative fruitful and meaningful. Together as one in Christ, we strive to grow in faith and unity, empowering today's youth to become the torchbearers of tomorrow's Church — ever rooted in Christ, growing in faith, and serving with love.

Faith and Fellowship

The Gregorian Youth Association continues to serve as a dynamic fellowship of young men and women devoted to deepening their relationship with Christ and with one another. Through regular Sunday gatherings held after the Holy Qurbana, members come together for worship, reflection, and discussion that strengthen both faith and friendship. Programs such as the Daily Verse series and Smeerotho — which introduce the richness of the Syrian Orthodox liturgy and music — further deepen our understanding of faith, tradition, and spiritual identity. These sessions not only nurture learning but also foster a sense of belonging to the ancient yet living tradition of the Holy Church.

Service and Outreach

In keeping with the spirit of service, our members actively participate in charitable and outreach programs such as the diocesan LAMB (Love and Affection Ministry), blood donation drives, and other community support initiatives. Through these acts of love, the youth embody the Christian call to compassion and witness to Christ's teachings in action. Alongside this, the association joyfully participates in cultural and festive celebrations such as Onam, Friendship Day, and Youth Month. These events — often marked by creativity and fellowship — reflect the unity and vitality of our youth community, celebrating faith through joyful expressions of culture and togetherness.

Sports, Arts, and Media Ministry

The association also places strong emphasis on sports, leadership, and personal growth. Members regularly organize and participate in church-level and diocesan-level tournaments in badminton, football, and cricket, fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. The creative energy of the youth is also channeled into media and music ministry through the management of active social media platforms and the release of devotional albums such as Abun D-Bashmayo and Shlom Lek Mariyam, which carry the message of faith and hope to a wider audience. During the Christmas season, the much-anticipated carol rounds bring joy and unity to every parish home, spreading the message of Christ's birth through songs, smiles, and heartfelt fellowship.

With each of these efforts, the Gregorian Youth Association continues to stand as a living testament to the vitality of young faith. Each week, a growing number of active members gather in prayer, discussion, and fellowship — creating a space of spiritual renewal, joy, and purpose. It is within this circle of unity that the youth find strength to face challenges, courage to serve, and inspiration to live as faithful disciples of Christ.

Leadership

The association functions under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Shibu George Pulayath as President, with Mr. Libin Baby as Vice President, Mr. Tomson T. K. as Secretary, Ms. Lycia Thomas as Treasurer, Mr. Sen Geevarghese and Ms. Sarah Eldho as Program Coordinators, and Ms. Simi Thomas as Ex-Committee Member. The current committee was elected in the presence of Rev. Fr. Blessin Baby, reflecting the continued commitment to shared leadership and responsible stewardship among our youth.

As the year concludes, the Gregorian Youth Association offers sincere thanks to Almighty God for His guidance and blessings throughout all our endeavors. We also express deep gratitude to our clergy, the church committee, the Bengaluru Diocese Youth Association, and all members for their unwavering support and cooperation. Together, we look forward with renewed faith and zeal, united in our mission to serve the Lord and His Church ever striving to remain rooted in Christ, to grow in faith, and to serve with enduring love.
